The iEPB project General Assembly focused on web-based tools, national integration, and policy pathways to support Europe’s green transition.

The partners of iEPB gathered in Rotterdam from 23 to 24 September for their annual General Assembly, hosted by ISSO. The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity for consortium members to review progress, exchange knowledge, and plan the next steps toward developing innovative tools for energy performance assessment across Europe.

The Assembly opened with a visit to Pauluskerk, where participants learned about the organization’s history and its commitment to supporting homeless and vulnerable communities in Rotterdam. This set the tone for two days of collaboration rooted in both social and technical impact.

Day 1: Advancing digital tools for energy performance

The first day focused on the technical development of the iEPB web application, designed to enhance data management, data gathering, and visualization of results. Partners CENER and EFINOVATIC led a series of interactive discussions, demonstrating the platform’s latest features and gathering feedback from participants.

Key updates included progress on the conceptualization and implementation of the iEPB instrument and demonstrations of data workflows and visualization tools within the web app.

Day 2: From demonstration to policy impact

The second day emphasized sustainability, replication, and policy dimensions of the project. Highlights included updates on national and EU baseline contextualization, providing transparency on methodologies for EPB assessment and discussions on contribution to LIFE activities and synergies with EU initiatives such as Next Gen EPC and the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI).
Partners also focused on demonstrating how the iEPB schema can be integrated into national EPC software tools across Spain, Austria, and beyond. Additionally, an Exploitation Workshop was led by Meta, exploring pathways for uptake of project results in the market.

The Assembly concluded with a wrap-up led by IVE, reflecting on the consortium’s achievements and setting out priorities for the coming months.
